Hello my name is Helen Drewry and I am from the small
village of Charlton, near Banbury, Oxfordshire.
My love of photography started many years ago when my
husband brought me a Canon EOS500 SLR camera. I used this mainly for
taking pictures of the countryside around our village and scenes whilst
travelling abroad, some of which I was happy enough to frame and hang in
our house. The next step became when asked to take photographs for the
village adult and youth football teams, both posed and action shots.
Friends and family started to comment how much they liked what I had
produced and that I should move to taking photographs on a
semi-professional basis. So here I am!
As with everything, technology has moved on and now all
my pictures are taken using a Canon EOS450D digital SLR camera. With the
selection of lenses at my disposal, I find I can use this to take
photographs of a wide variety of subject matters. Digital photography
gives the added benefit of being able to take many more pictures and
select the ones which are "just right".
